Bride Wars or the Return to Friendship?
Not long ago I saw a film with the name “BRIDA WARS”.I love it so much! Not only because of Anne Hathaway, my favorite actress of Hollywood.but the plot that makes me laugh and think deeply about friendship.
Liv is a successful white-collar girl, and she owns everything a girl dreams about, a perfect job as a capable lawyer, a perfect boy friend who loves her indeed. On the other hand, Emma is a teacher; she’s very gentle and soft. She always likes to take care of others and even forgets about herself. The two different but both beautiful girls have known each other since they were children. They liked playing games of acting as a bride, as you know, something girls like to do. Nevertheless, they didn’t take that just for fun, they actually planned their weddings in detail. On their “must be included” lists, the first place was occupied by the place for wedding ceremonies all the New York girls desire to hold in:PALAZA HOTEL.
To their surprise, their boy friends made an offer of marriage for them with a Tiffany diamond almost at the same time! They felt so happy and promised being maid of honor of each other. They couldn’t help declaring their marriage to friends and began preparing for it. Extreme joy begets sorrow, a mistake made by the priest pulled them up from wonderful dreams—they had to get married on the same day! The problem is , neither of them were willing to compromise.
Their friendship was faced with challenges. Which is more important, the years’ of dream, or the years’ of friend? It seemed that they both made the same choice—the dream. The two girls who were used to be best friends in the world began the bride wars. The guests, the makeup, the wedding dresses and so on, all the things became the bargaining chips of their comparisons. At the same time, they even set cunning traps for each other, for example, Emma mixed the hair-dye and leaded to Liv’s pink hair, and Liv played tricks on Emma’s white skim which turned bronze-colored finally. I couldn’t help laughing through this part, and the acting of Anne and Kate is so great.
The climax of this film is the wedding. Emma and Liv fight for a steamy video about Emma’s dancing which of course by Liv’s masterpiece when all the guests were present. The dramatic properties were that, suddenly they stopped and gradually calmed down; the two began crying .They realized that they were too stupid to remember how they loved each other. The ceremony is just a form, and only the friendship is forever!
The end, as we all know, was a happy reunion. Emma got married with Liv’s brother instead of the man giving her perfect Tiffany but not enough lenience.Love needs lenience, as well as friendship. If you own a friend, it’s one of the most lucky things in your life. Treasure him or her, don’t be puzzled by something of no importance, and remember that friendship is priceless. I think this is the film wants to tell us.
