Do animals have friends? Sure, they do. We can often see that a little white cat gamboling with a little black cat, they seem to be fighting, but that’s for fun. We regard their behaviors as their own way of communication and amusement, so real and natural. They grow up as being together like this, just as humans. Every child grows up to an adult with his or her friends and playmates. They study together, play basketball together, or share their little secrets together. They cannot live without each other, because they support each other and accompany each other. It seems that we are all afraid of being lonely and isolated, being ignored and neglected by others, so we try our best to attract others’ attention, our families, our colleagues, or even strangers, and at the same time, we find those who have interest or thoughts in common with us, so we could be together as friends.

Friendship is so naturally established between us and our friends, since we just need each other to become an essential part of our life. It is an art of share and coexistence. It has been highly honored by people ranging from celebrities to laymen for several centuries until now. Poets and scholars often confer purity, eternality and uniqueness to friendship in their poems and works to compliment it as one of the greatest emotions in the world. It is exactly true concerning a piece of real friendship.

When we are in a foreign country far from home on business or for study, or when we are living in an unfamiliar place or walking around among large numbers of strangers, we are desperate for some people who really know us and understand us. They give us the timely consolation and comfort when we are hurt or lingering in dilemma, and help us release our worries and choose the right direction to go. They help us to keep calm and feel accompanied. Noting can hinder our paces to move forward because we have so many loyal friends at our elbow supporting us and giving us the power to continue our dreams beyond imagination. On the other hand, when we   have made progress in our work or study, for example, gaining some rewards or something, they share our happiness and send us the most sincere congratulations on our success. Of course, as others’ friends, we just play the same role in their lives gladly. We build this permanent relationship in each other’s life and protect it carefully to maintain it as long as possible.
For people of different ages or genders, they tend to keep or show friendship in different ways. For many girls like me, we prefer those little shining ornaments, jewels, things like that. It sounds like women’s nature to be more charming and glittering with those gem and pearls, we just could not resist the temptation of those decorations. But it does not bother or harm us to wear those ornaments just like men wear ties, so we just like them and have them. Anyway, just like my roommate, she is a total fan of Pandora’s bracelets. Five days ago was her birthday, so we other three girls just gathered money to buy one for her as a birthday gift. We could not forget how happy and excited she looked the moment she unfolded the box of the present.

Compared with friendship, money is nothing. What really counts is that we should express our love and fidelity to our friends without any hesitation.
