Shop Lifting Accident
Have you ever run into a crime scene such as shop lifting? I haven't got the experience until last week. So I didn't what to do when I witnessed the scene.
The weather finally got better after raining many days. I couldn't wait another minute to go shopping for winter stuffs because of the dropping temperature. The first stop of shopping was the UGG shop. A pair of warm and fashion UGG boots was the necessary thing for me in winter. I tried several pairs of UGG boots on, at the time when I was thinking about which one to choose I heard a sudden noise mixed with shout and cry.
I was frightened by the sudden scene. Before I knew what had happened, a teenaged girl was caught and surrounded by some people. The shop assistant was busy with the sudden accident and had no time to give me any service. I could do nothing but wait to see what was going on.
The teenage girl was a high school student. She tried to wear a pair of new UGG boots belonged to the shop out without paying. This was the first time that she had done such thing because I could tell the fear and shame on her face when she was sitting in the crowd. The shop assistant called 911 immediately. The girl burst into cry and told the story of her in unclear sentences.
I heard something about that her parents would be very disappointed about her. She couldn't believe that she had done such a thing. She begged the shop assistant stopped calling the police. She promised that she won't do things like this anymore.
I was shocked about the girl's action. She did the shop lifting just because she wanted the boots so much. I recalled my early age times when we had to do part time job to support the family instead of earning more money for ourselves. We didn't know such things as famous brand products, we would be happy enough to have a pair of warm shoes to keep our feet from being hurt by cold. What's in the girl's mind exactly?
I couldn't bear to see this any more. So I left and got the boots several days later. The shop assistant told me that the girl was taken to the police office. I think it is good for her to get the lesson and understand that we all have to make some honest effort to get the things that we want.
