After having been in love for four years and been the bridesmaid of my friends for several times, I at last waited till the day when I became the heroine of my own wedding with my best friend as my bridesmaid. It felt really great. Besides, the wedding ring I am wearing now added happiness to my wedding for I found out the special meaning in it the moment when we exchanged the rings.
It was undoubtedly an important day for me and my beloved. I remember that lots of people attended our wedding. Apart from our relatives, friends, former classmates, colleagues and other acquaintances, there were quite many people who we don’t really know. However, I had no time to think more about it as I was quite nervous. Although I had been to many others’ weddings, I still felt not quite myself when it was at last my turn to become a bride.
As I was making myself up with the help of the makeup artist with my best friend keeping me company, I received a cell phone message from my beloved, which read: “My sweetheart, be prepared to become my gorgeous bride. I’m sending you this message as my heart is beating fast for the coming wedding and for you. I can’t wait to exchange wedding rings with you to give my eternal promise to you and let my girl become the happiest wife in the world.” Rings! Yes, it was All of a sudden, I felt a lot better because I knew my honey was being excited and so was I. What’s more, he had had the charming Tiffany ring for me and prepared me all the best.
All prepared, I was just about to step into the wedding hall when my mum who was all the time by my side suddenly stopped and hugged me hard. I knew she was reluctant to let me go, but she knew as well that she had to. Tears rolling in her eyes, she murmured: “from today on, after exchanging the wedding rings, you’ll truly leave me and become someone’s wife. I wish you a world of happiness. God bless you, honey!”
When the moment at last came, my face was burning and there was as if only my honey in my eyes. We felt very shy, held out our hands and exchanged our wedding rings looking directly into one another’s eyes. At that moment, I suddenly came to realize everything. Mother was right. The brilliant Tiffany ring delicate in design and charming in flame conveyed all those pleasant memories in which we were happily together to me and implied his heartfelt lifetime promise of eternal love for me.
